Atendiendo a
ABSTRACT
The Unidad Agroambiental El Tíbar, of the University of Cundinamarca, Ubaté
section, has been working on the reproductive processes in the sheep production
system by the natural mating method with animals that are part of the inventory.
Accordingly, crossbreeding has been generated between specimens genetically
related to each other with their predecessors, which has produced offspring with
levels of inbreeding, so reproductive alternatives are sought to minimize this
incidence. The UAA El Tíbar has a large inventory of sheep and seeks to establish
genetic improvements, with the acquisition of resources the sectional has allowed
the hiring of different equipment, supplies and elements to begin the process of
reproduction by laparoscopy.
The objective of this work is to evaluate the technique of the intrauterine
insemination program by laparoscopy in sheep under high tropic conditions. In order
to improve animal productivity, ten Katahdin and Katahdin x criolla ewes were used,
later they were inseminated with frozen semen in Katahdin straws, and estrus
synchronization was performed with intravaginal devices (industrial sponges). As for
feeding, a pre and post insemination feeding stimulus was carried out, and finally,
sanitary management practices were used to take preventive measures to provide
complete protection against infectious and parasitic diseases. Taking into account
the factors mentioned above, depending on the body condition of the animals, the
effectiveness of pregnancy by intrauterine insemination by laparoscopy is 60%. | spa |
