NCLUSIÓN DE HARINA DE Sambucus nigra L. EN BLOQUES MULTI NUTRICIONALES COMO SUPLEMENTO EN LA ALIMENTACIÓN DE TERNERAS DE LEVANTE.

Abstract

El objetivo del presente trabajo fue evaluar la inclusión de harina de sauco (Sambucus nigra L.), como fuente proteica, en la elaboración de bloques multi-nutricionales para poder complementar la dieta de terneras en levante alimentadas a base de Kikuyo (Cenchrus clandestinus Hochst. Ex Chiov). Para el desarrollo de este proyecto se emplearon 8 terneras F1 Montbeliarde x Holstein de la finca el Peñón; con pesos entre 122 y 149 Kg y una edad de 3 a 4.5 meses. Estas estuvieron asociadas en dos grupos que permitieron realizar la comparación. La duración del ensayo fue de 21 días que comprendieron 14 días de acostumbramiento y 7 días de mediciones. Las terneras se desparasitaron, se les suministraron vitaminas y se identificaron con placas. Los animales alcanzaron un consumo de 124 g/día de bloque en promedio y una ganancia de peso en promedio de 407.8 g/día que fue significativamente superior (p<0.05) al obtenido por el grupo de terneras no suplementadas (242.5 g/día). The objective of this work was to evaluate the inclusion of elderberry flour (Sambucus nigra L.), as a protein source, in the elaboration of multi-nutritional blocks to be able to complement the diet of calves in the east fed with Kikuyo (Cenchrus clandestinus Hochst . Ex Chiov). For the development of this project, 8 F1 Montbeliarde x Holstein calves from the El Peñón farm were used; with weights between 122 and 149 Kg and an age of 3 to 4.5 months. These were associated in two groups that allowed the comparison to be made. The duration of the test was 21 days that comprised 14 days of acclimatization and 7 days of measurements. The calves were dewormed, given vitamins and identified with plaques. The animals reached an average intake of 124 g / day of block and an average weight gain of 407.8 g / day that was significantly higher (p <0.05) than that obtained by the group of unsupplemented calves (242.5 g / day) .
