Etnia y salud: poblaciones afrodescendientes. un estado del arte 2000- 2017

Abstract

En el ámbito científico e institucional existe controversia y versatilidad sobre los conceptos de etnia y salud en las poblaciones afrodescendientes que existen a nivel mundial, el Objetivo del estudio es construir un estado del arte sobre la categoría Etnia y Salud en la población Afrodescendiente, a partir de la revisión de artículos científicos producto de investigaciones publicados entre los años 2000 – 2017 a nivel internacional. Metodología; investigación Cualitativa de tipo documental; se realizó búsqueda sistemática de artículos científicos en diferentes bases de datos sin restricción de idioma entre el periodo año 2007 al 2017. Resultados; con base en la herramienta Técnica CasPe se revisaron 40 artículos de los cuales solo 14 de ellos cumplieron los criterios de evaluación de la Técnica. Conclusión; se considera importante continuar con los estudios investigativos, la categoría de etnia/salud se integra en los artículos revisados de la población afrodescendiente, considerando a esta población vulnerable en cuanto servicios de salud, y la falta de inclusión social. ABSTRACT: In the scientific and institutional field there is controversy and versatility about the concepts of ethnicity and health in Afro-descendant populations that exist worldwide, the objective of the study is to build a state of the art on the Ethnicity and Health category in the Afro-descendant population, starting of the review of scientific articles product of research published between the years 2000 - 2017 at the international level. Methodology; Qualitative research of documentary type; a systematic search of scientific articles was carried out in different databases without language restriction between the period 2007 to 2017. Results; Based on the CasPe technical tool, 40 articles were reviewed, of which only 14 of them met the criteria for evaluation of the technique. Conclusion; it is considered important to continue with the research studies, the ethnicity / health category is integrated into the reviewed articles of the Afro-descendant population, considering this population vulnerable as health services, and the lack of social inclusion.
