La ciudad literaria: interpretación de la ciudad en las obras besacalles, el atravesado y scorpio city de los autores andrés caicedo y mario mendoza

Abstract

RESUMEN: El presente trabajo investigativo disciplinar surge por el interés de entender la forma en que la ciudad es descrita dentro de la literatura, más específicamente dentro de las obras Besacalles (1969), El Atravesado (1971) y Scorpi City (1998), y cómo ésta logra otorgarle ciertas características a las historias que Andrés Caicedo y Mario Mendoza plasman en sus textos; puesto que la ciudad influye no solo en la realidad de sus habitantes, sino también en la creación de otro tipo de realidades. Para ello, se realizó un cotejo critico de las obras. Por lo que esta investigación confrontó no solo la forma en la que la ciudad se describe en los textos ya mencionados, sino que también comparó dos elementos o sub categorías particulares que se destacan en las historias y que hacen que la ciudad se muestre de una determinada manera, los cuales son: la decadencia de los personajes y la noche citadina. ABSTRACT: The present disciplinary investigative work arises from the interest of understanding the wy in which the city is described within the literature, more specifically within the works Besacalles (1969), El Atravesado (1971) and Scorpio City (1998). and how this it manages to give certain characteristics to the stories that Andrés Caicedo and Mario Mendoza express in their texts; since the city influences not only the reality of its inhabitants, but also the creation of other types of realities. For this a critical comparison of the works was carried out. So this research confronted not only the way in which the city is described in the aforementioned texts, but also compared two particular elements or sub categories that stand out in the stories and that make the city show itself of a certain way, which are: the decadence of the characters and the city night.
