El propósito principal de este trabajo se centra en la necesidad de hacer evidente, dentro de muchas otras posibilidades, la enseñanza de las Ciencias Sociales desde los patrimonios locales, que para este caso se enfatiza en una danza folklórica, la Rumba Criolla. Teniendo en cuenta que la evolución del conocimiento no se ha dado sólo en las ciencias, también se ha dado en las bellas artes. Hoy en día la performance es una de las mejores maneras de expresar sentimientos o hechos y más en un escenario tan importante como la escuela. La danza folklórica como una muestra de performance es el mejor ejemplo para representar la cultura de una región y al mismo tiempo un recurso generador de identidad y de memoria si se desarrolla bien. El presente trabajo es un conglomerado de sentimientos y emociones. Es el afán de un bailarín y docente por generar procesos de construcción en la escuela gracias a las artes. Día a día el mundo se va transformando creando nuevas maneras de revolucionar en diferentes aspectos, el ámbito educativo no se escapa de esta revolución e incluso este debería revolucionarse de manera más seguida para así mismo dar cuenta de que la alternatividad en la actualidad es un punto importante para el buen desarrollo del aprendizaje en centros educativos. The main purpose of this work focuses on the need to make evident, within many other possibilities, the teaching of social sciences from the local heritage, which for this case is emphasized in a folkloric dance, the Rumba Criolla. Taking into account that the evolution of knowledge has not occurred only in the sciences, it has also occurred in the fine arts. Nowadays, performance is one of the best ways to express feelings or facts and more in a scenario as important as school. Folk dance as a performance show is the best example to represent the culture of a region and at the same time a resource that generates identity and memory if it develops well. The present work is a conglomeration of feelings and emotions. It is the desire of a dancer and teacher to generate construction processes in school thanks to the arts. Day by day the world is transforming creating new ways to revolutionize in different aspects, the educational field does not escape from this revolution and even this should be revolutionized more often to also realize that today's alternative is a point important for the good development of learning in educational centers.
