Evaluación De Parámetros Reproductivos En Unidades Productivas Bovinas Ubicadas En El Municipio De Pasca, Cundinamarca

Abstract

Resumen El objetivo del presente estudio fue evaluar el comportamiento actual de diferentes parámetros reproductivos en 27 unidades productivas bovinas, el estudio se realizó en (14) veredas del Municipio de Pasca, Cundinamarca. Las unidades ganaderas fueron seleccionadas por registros de la Secretaria de Agricultura de Pasca, la información se obtuvo a partir de una encuesta estructurada de tipo descriptiva que constaba de (78) preguntas, dividida en (4) segmentos: caracterización (8) preguntas; manejo reproductivo (24) preguntas; manejo sanitario (19) preguntas y manejo del ciclo de vacunación (19); los datos recolectados se organizaron en un software de análisis de cálculo Microsoft Excel para estudiar el comportamiento de las variables estimadas de cada segmento, realizando conteo de respuestas para finalmente tabular los respectivos datos, graficar y analizar. En el área de caracterización, en un (78%) la raza prevalente encontrada en las veredas de la población estudio fue la Normando. En el manejo reproductivo se establecieron los métodos de servicios más utilizados en la población estudio, encontrando que en (13) de las (27) fincas la monta natura es el método más utilizado, y en menor cantidad biotecnologías reproductivas como la Inseminación artificial a celo natural (IA), e inseminación artificial a tiempo fijo (IATF). En el manejo sanitario, la gramínea Kikuyo (Pennisetum clandestinum) es la principal alimentación usada en los hatos, en donde no se realiza manejo del agua destinada para el consumo humano, ni para la producción pecuaria. En el manejo del ciclo de vacunación la población estudio las principales enfermedades controladas son fiebre aftosa y brucelosis bovina teniendo en cuenta medidas sanitarias establecidas. Abstract The objective of this study was to evaluate the current behavior of different reproductive parameters in 27 bovine productive units, the study was carried out in (14) villages of the Municipality of Pasca, Cundinamarca. The livestock units were selected by records of the Pasca Secretary of Agriculture, the information was obtained from a structured descriptive survey that consisted of (78) questions, divided into (4) segments: characterization (8) questions; reproductive management (24) questions; health management (19) questions and management of the vaccination cycle (19); The collected data were organized in a Microsoft Excel calculation analysis software to study the behavior of the estimated variables of each segment, counting the responses to finally tabulate the respective data, graph and analyze. In the characterization area, in a (78%) the prevalent race found in the villages of the study population was the Norman. In reproductive management, the most widely used service methods were established in the study population, finding that in (13) of the (27) farms, natural mounting is the most used method, and in fewer reproductive biotechnologies such as artificial insemination in heat. natural (AI), and artificial insemination at fixed time (IATF). In sanitary management, the Kikuyo grass (Pennisetum clandestinum) is the main food used in the herds, where there is no management of the water intended for human consumption, or for livestock production. In the management of the vaccination cycle, the main controlled diseases are foot-and-mouth disease and bovine brucellosis, taking into account established sanitary measures.
