Movilidad sostenible y turismo experiencial: rutas en Tuk Tuk en Girardot.

Abstract

La presente investigación aborda la necesidad de fortalecer la movilidad sostenible en Girardot mediante la implementación de rutas turísticas en tuk tuk, promoviendo el turismo experiencial y el acceso inclusivo a los principales atractivos locales. El estudio parte del reconocimiento de los desafíos en conectividad urbana, concentración estacional del turismo y creciente demanda de experiencias auténticas. Objetivo: Diseñar una ruta turística en tuk tuk desde el centro de Girardot hasta el Mirador de la Fe, fomentando un turismo responsable, sostenible y culturalmente enriquecedor. Metodología: Se empleó un enfoque cuantitativo con una muestra de 59 personas entre residentes y turistas, a quienes se aplicó una encuesta estructurada. Se analizó la percepción sobre el servicio de tuk tuk, intereses turísticos, aspectos valorados del recorrido, y medidas necesarias para la sostenibilidad. Además, se utilizó una lista de chequeo para evaluar la idoneidad de los puntos turísticos incluidos en la ruta. Resultados: El 88% de los encuestados considera que los tuk tuk son una alternativa sostenible para el turismo en Girardot. Un 46% expresó alto interés en utilizar rutas turísticas en este medio, y el 51% manifestó interés condicionado al precio y la ruta. Los atractivos más solicitados fueron el Puente Férreo (29%), el Mirador La Fe (22%) y la Catedral de Girardot (17%). La mayoría prefirió recorridos entre 30 y 60 minutos, valorando principalmente la seguridad (44%) y la información turística (27%). Conclusiones: Existe un amplio respaldo ciudadano hacia el uso de tuk tuk como solución sostenible e innovadora, que puede diversificar la oferta turística y dinamizar la economía local de Girardot. ABSTRACT: This research addresses the need to strengthen sustainable mobility in Girardot through the implementation of tuk tuk tourist routes, promoting experiential tourism and inclusive access to the city’s main attractions. The study is grounded in the current challenges of urban connectivity, tourism seasonality, and the growing demand for authentic, eco-friendly experiences. Objective: To design a tuk tuk tourist route from downtown Girardot to the Mirador de la Fe, fostering responsible, sustainable tourism and enhancing cultural appreciation. Methodology: A quantitative approach was employed using a structured survey administered to a sample of 59 residents and visitors. The study analyzed perceptions of tuk tuk services, tourist interests, valued aspects of the route, and sustainability measures. Additionally, a checklist was used to evaluate the suitability of each potential stop on the proposed route based on accessibility, safety, and cultural value. Results: 88% of respondents consider tuk tuks a sustainable alternative for tourism in Girardot. 46% expressed high interest in using tuk tuk tourist routes, and 51% showed conditional interest depending on the cost and itinerary. The most requested attractions were the Puente Férreo (29%), Mirador La Fe (22%), and the Girardot Cathedral (17%). Most participants preferred tours lasting between 30 and 60 minutes, with safety (44%) and tourist information (27%) being the most valued features. Conclusions: There is strong community support for tuk tuks as a sustainable and innovative mobility solution. This initiative has the potential to diversify Girardot’s tourism offer and boost its local economy through experiential and eco-conscious travel.
