Apoyo a la implementación de los planes de manejo ambiental (PMA) de áreas protegidas del Municipio de Belén de los Andaquies

Abstract

Colombia ocupa el primer lugar en especies de aves y orquídeas. Es el segundo país en el mundo con mayor riqueza de plantas, anfibios mariposas y peces de agua dulce. Además, ostenta la tercera posición en número de especies de palmas y reptiles y el cuarto lugar en mamíferos (CONAP,2014). Las áreas protegidas son esenciales para conservar la bioversidad natural, cultural, los bienes y servicios ambientales que brindan a la sociedad (UICN, s.f). A través de actividades económicas, como el turismo entre otras, muchas áreas protegidas son importantes para el desarrollo sostenible de comunidades locales, especialmente pueblos indígenas que dependen de ellos para sus supervivencia. En cumplimiento a los compromisos del convenio de diversidad biológica, nuestro país cuenta con el sistema nacional de áreas protegidas (SINAP), conformado por 1.116 áreas protegidas que cubren 31.174 hectáreas, equivalentes al 15% del territorio nacional (CONAP, 2014). Throug economic activities, such as tourism among others, many protected areas are importantfor the sustainable development of local communities, especially indigenous peoples who depend on the them their survival. In compliance with the commitments of the convention on biological diversity, our country has the National System of Protected Areas (SINAP) , made up od 1.116 protected areas that cover 31.174.899 hectareas, equivalent to 15% of then national teritory (CONAP. 2014)
