Beneficios ambientales de usar residuos de construcción y demolición (RCD) como agregado reciclado en obras civiles horizontes

Abstract

Debido a la importancia que ha ganado el tema del aprovechamiento de residuos y el reciclaje en Colombia, este documento busca aportar elementos importantes que resalten los beneficios ambientales de emplear agregados reciclados provenientes de RCD, enfocándose de manera principal en agregados petreos como alternativa de construcción sustentable. Para esto se realizó una revisión de la normativa nacional que compete el manejo y aprovechamiento de los RCD, con el fin de establecer la clasificación y usos permitidos dentro del país de estos materiales, de la misma forma se realiza una consulta de los PGIRS municipales vigentes y fuentes estadísticas nacionales para describir el estado actual de las principales ciudades del país en temas de aprovechamiento de escombros. Por último, se realiza la síntesis de estudios e investigaciones realizadas en torno a uso de los RCD como alternativa de construcción, teniendo en cuenta las características técnicas de los agregados y las obras más representativas a base de agregados reciclados, con el fin de establecer los tipos de obras civiles horizontales donde se pueden usar agregados reciclados y los beneficios ambientales que estos representan. ABSTRACT: Due to the importance that the issue of waste use and recycling has gained in Colombia, this document seeks to provide important elements that highlight the benefits environmental factors of using recycled aggregates from RCD, focusing in a main in stone aggregates as a sustainable construction alternative. For this it was carried out a review of the national regulations that are responsible for the management and use of RCD, in order to establish the classification and permitted uses within the country of these materials. In the same way, a query is made of the current municipal PGIRS and statistical sources to describe the current state of the main cities of the country on issues of use of rubble. Finally, a synthesis of studies and research is carried out carried out around the use of RCDs as a construction alternative, taking into account the technical characteristics of the aggregates and the most representative works based on aggregates recycled, in order to establish the types of horizontal civil works where they can be used recycled aggregates and the environmental benefits the represent.
