ABSTRACT: The identification of ideal areas to implement renewable energies taking advantage of sunlight, is a key aspect to promote the good use of natural resources and at the same time raise awareness of the environmental and socioeconomic benefits that their use brings. For this reason, the concern arises to determine which are the most suitable areas of the upper Magdalena Valley, to implement renewable energy from which the communities of the rural sector benefit mainly, who are the ones who present more problems with the provision of the service of energy, and on some occasions it does not have the necessary resources to acquire it, for this reason it is proposed to take advantage of the sun as an energy source, which allows to satisfy basic needs and at the same time not generate a negative impact on the ecosystem. The zoning of these areas will allow organizations from both the public and private sectors that intend to carry out sustainable projects, have the facility to know the best places in the upper Magdalena Valley to establish a panel system. Since, to carry out this project, an investigation of the bioclimatic conditions, types of coverage of the region and the populations to benefit must be carried out, taking into account solar radiation as a fundamental axis in the development of this research project, which will be carried out through Geographic Information Systems, which, through satellite images and predominant bioclimatic images of the area, allow analysis to demonstrate the high capacity of the Upper Magdalena Valley to implement clean energy, that not only benefit rural populations, but also generate both technological and economic advancement and at the same time provide a solution to the environmental pollution that is generated in part as a consequence of using electricity from conventional sources. | es_CO |
