“La ingeniería es un conjunto de conocimientos científicos, técnicos, prácticos, empíricos, entre otros; utilizados para el diseño, desarrollo, construcción, mantenimiento u optimización de recursos (maquinas, estructuras, personal, sistemas, materiales, etc.)”. La ingeniería se divide en grandes ramas como civil, eléctrica, química, electromecánica, industrial, electrónica, mecánica, en sistemas, telecomunicaciones, entre otras. Todas estas especialidades permiten el completo análisis de la vida desde diferentes puntos de vista, haciendo el día a día muy interesante. Es por eso por lo que en este proyecto de integración se une la ingeniería civil, la ingeniería eléctrica, la ingeniería mecánica y la ingeniería electrónica para desarrollar la ampliación del Data Center DC4 Colombia XV de CenturyLink, el cual busca satisfacer las necesidades del cliente, plasmadas en el contrato firmado. En la ejecución del proyecto se realiza un cronograma general de obra, el cual abarca todos los sistemas, subsistemas y actividades de cada disciplina; así mismo se hacen diseños, verificaciones de rutas y cruces, cotizaciones, órdenes de compra, visitas en sitio, solicitud de materiales, ejecución, verificación de la calidad del trabajo realizado y entrega final al cliente. Dentro del sistema eléctrico se encuentra el sistema de cableado estructurado, en el que se realizan las actividades anteriormente nombradas y además se hacen pruebas y certificaciones de la infraestructura e instalación de cableado y fibra. La entrega final del proyecto se da, al entregar el data center en correcto funcionamiento, con manuales de uso de cada equipo, pruebas en cada sistema y garantía del trabajo realizado. “Engineering is a set of scientific, technical, practical, empirical knowledge, among others; used for the design, development, construction, maintenance or optimization of resources (machines, structures, personnel, systems, materials, etc.)”. Engineering is divided into large branches such as civil, electrical, chemical, electromechanical, industrial, electronic, mechanical, in systems, telecommunications, among others. All these specialties allow the complete analysis of life from different points of view, making everyday life very interesting. That is why in this integration project civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and electronic engineering are brought together to develop the expansion of CenturyLink's DC4 Colombia XV Data Center, which seeks to satisfy customer needs, embodied in the signed contract. In the execution of the project, a general work schedule is made, which covers all the systems, subsystems and activities of each discipline; Likewise, designs, verifications of routes and crossings, quotes, purchase orders, site visits, request for materials, execution, verification of the quality of the work carried out and final delivery to the client are made. Within the electrical system is the structured cabling system, in which the aforementioned activities are carried out and tests and certifications of the infrastructure and cable and fiber installation are also carried out. The final delivery of the project is given, when the data center is delivered in correct operation, with user manuals for each equipment, tests on each system and a guarantee of the work carried out.
