Se realiza la formulación del plan de manejo de residuos sólidos para la institución educativa municipal la arboleda- sede Juan Pablo II a partir de un diagnóstico inicial que incluye la cuantificación y tipificación de dichos residuos. Este plan se estructura en tres programas principales donde la capacitación y concientización representan el eje central de la educación ambiental aplicada a esta institución y el primero de los programas como punto de partida. Posteriormente se inicia con las actividades correspondientes a los programas de separación en la fuente y de aprovechamiento de los residuos sólidos separados. Con ello, se logra obtener la concientización de los estudiantes y una reducción en la cantidad de residuos sólidos emitidos por la institución semanalmente. Abstract The formulation of the Solid Waste Management Plan for the municipal educational institution la arboleda- Juan Pablo II headquarters is made an initial diagnosis that includes the quantification and classification of said waste. This plan is structured into three main programs where training and awareness represent the central axis of environmental education applied to this institution and the first of the programs as a starting point. Subsequently, it starts with the activities corresponding to the separation programs at the source and the use of separated solid waste. With this, it is possible to obtain the awareness of the students and a reduction in the amount of solid waste issued by the institution on a weekly basis.
