Los pequeños agricultores nacionales están arraigados a realizar sus labores bajo los métodos tradicionales, el propósito de este proyecto es integrar el concepto de IoT a una de las prácticas agrícolas más importantes y tradicionales, el riego; lograr que el agricultor se empodere como determinador de su propio desarrollo económico y mediante talleres académicos para el buen uso de la tecnología transmitir la iniciativa de diseñar fácilmente y a bajo costo un dispositivo que transmita datos a través de una red y logre automatizar su sistema de riego, controlado desde su SmarthPhone. El diseño e implementación del dispositivo se hace en el cultivo de hortalizas del señor Alberto Bermúdez, agricultor de la finca El Sendero vereda Guchipas del municipio de Pasca con quien se pudo evidenciar la diferencia del tiempo dedicado a labores que impliquen el cambio de riego, inicialmente debía efectuar entre cinco y seis desplazamientos diarios de una finca a otra para cambiarlo, cada desplazamiento implicaba aproximadamente 30 minutos, ahora la gestión de su sistema de riego está al alcance de su mano, optimizando el uso de su tiempo y en consecuencia reduciendo los costos de producción. The design and implementation of the device is made in the vegetable cultivation of Mr. Alberto Bermúdez, farmer of the El Sendero farm in Guchipas municipality of Pasca, with whom it was possible to demonstrate the difference of time dedicated to work involving the change of irrigation, initially had to make between five and six daily trips from one farm to another to change it, each displacement involved approximately 30 minutes, now the management of your irrigation system is at reach of your hand, optimizing the use of your time and consequently reducing production costs.
