En la actualidad con el trascurrir del tiempo cierto porcentaje de la generación del siglo XXI esta renunciado a sus labores académicas por diferentes circunstancias que van desde problemas de tipo económico hasta el social. Lla universidad de Cundinamarca como ente educativo superior vela por los intereses de todos sus estudiantes al promover los diferentes métodos de retención ante una eventual deserción individual o grupal. El propósito de este trabajo es dar a conocer investigaciones, testimonios, análisis y un amplio marco referencial sobre la problemática. Entre los factores principales de la deserción está el desconocimiento de los beneficios ofrecidos por parte de bienestar universitario, carga laboral y familiar, problemas interpersonales con miembros de la universidad. ABSTRACT: At present, with the passage of time, a certain percentage of the generation of the 21st century is resigned from their academic work due to different circumstances that range from economic to social problems. The University of Cundinamarca, as a higher educational entity, looks after the interests of all its students by promoting the different methods of retention in the event of a possible individual or group desertion. The purpose of this work is to present research, testimonies, analysis and a broad reference framework on the problem. Among the main factors of desertion is the lack of knowledge of the benefits offered by university welfare, work and family burden, interpersonal problems with members of the university
