Resumen: El turismo en las últimas décadas se ha convertido en una actividad económica de vital importancia, tanto a nivel mundial, nacional y local; es por eso que analizando el relieve, ubicación geográfica, habitantes y otros factores del Municipio de Silvania-Cundinamarca, hemos visto que, a pesar de ser un Municipio cercano a Bogotá, con un excelente clima, en la parte de turismo no ha evolucionado, lo que ha hecho que no tenga crecimiento económico en este sector. Guiados por esta inquietud, han surgido ideas de implementar e incrementar el turismo local, a través de diferentes proyectos en sectores rurales, donde se haya la mayor riqueza turística. Cabe resaltar que la administración municipal se ha preocupado por apoyar esta clase de proyectos, ya que su mayor fortaleza es el turismo.
