Análisis del posible impacto de un programa de orientación vocacional y profesional sobre la autoeficiencia para la elección de carrera en estudiantes de educación media

El presente trabajo de investigación corresponde a la línea de desarrollo humano. Tiene como propósito proporcionar evidencia del posible impacto producido por un programa de orientación vocacional y profesional sobre la autoeficiencia para la elección de carrera, en estudiantes de educación media de la Institución Educativa Municipal Técnico Industrial sede talleres, con un rango de edad entre 15 a 20 años. Se utilizó como instrumento la escala de autoeficiencia para la elección de carrera (EAEC-L) y el análisis de los datos se realizó mediante la herramienta SPSS (tablas y gráficas estadísticas). Adicional a esto, se utilizó la prueba T de Student y la U de Mann Whitney, con el fin de analizar si había significancia entre los resultados de los grupos. Lo que indica el análisis de estos resultados es que no existe diferencia en el nivel de autosuficiencia para la elección de carrera, implementando un programa de orientación vocacional y profesional, lo cual se puede deber un nivel alto de confianza existente en los dos grupos de comparación antes de la intervención, presentando la necesidad del uso de pretest y postest. ABSTRACT The work of the research shown below is framed in the line of human development. It aims to assess the potential impact of the implementation of a programme of vocational and professional guidance in the degree of self-efficacy in middle vocational students in career choice at the municipal educational institution Técnico Industrial, headquarters "Talleres". This research is developed among students in a range of age between 15 and 20. In order to reach the proposed objetives, the self-efficacy scale for career choice (EAEC-L) ws the used instrument. The data analysis was performed using the SPSS tool, tables and graphical statistics. In addition to this, Student's T-test and the U of Mann Whitney was also used to analyze; in specific for figuring out whether there was any grade of significance among the results of the groups, or there was none. The results analysis shows that, indeed, there is no difference in the self-efficancy for career choice level when implementing a process of vocational and professional orientation. This fact may by due to a high level of confidence in the two compared groups before the intervention, reflecting as a consequence the need of pre-test and post-test use.
