Este proyecto de investigación aborda el problema derivado de la crisis causada por la pandemia del Covid-19 en el sector turismo, proponiendo una solución centrada en el desarrollo de una ruta de cicloturismo sostenible entre los municipios de Girardot y Tocaima en Colombia. La necesidad de promover un turismo más acorde con la situación actual en términos sociales, culturales, económicos y ambientales se destaca. Se explora la relación entre el cicloturismo y el turismo sostenible, resaltando la falta de regulación global en esta área. El objetivo general del proyecto es desarrollar una propuesta de ruta de cicloturismo sostenible, con objetivos específicos que incluyen el análisis de beneficios mediante una matriz DOFA, la evaluación del interés del turista y la definición de rutas exitosas con estaciones culturales y ambientales. La justificación se centra en la importancia del turismo en Colombia y la diversidad geográfica y cultural de la región de Cundinamarca. Se destaca la necesidad de implementar una ruta de cicloturismo sostenible entre Girardot y Tocaima para ofrecer una alternativa única y local para los ciclistas. En el marco teórico se destaca la importancia del turismo sostenible y del cicloturismo, mientras que el marco legal aborda regulaciones relevantes en Colombia. El marco conceptual presenta términos clave como atractivo turístico, ecoturismo y ruta sostenible. El marco geográfico describe las ubicaciones de Girardot y Tocaima, resaltando su atractivo turístico y clima. El diseño metodológico se clasifica como exploratorio y descriptivo, con un enfoque cuantitativo y cualitativo, utilizando cuestionarios, observación directa y entrevistas. ABSTRACT: This research project addresses the issues arising from the crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic in the tourism sector, proposing a solution focused on developing a sustainable cycling route between the municipalities of Girardot and Tocaima in Colombia. The need to promote tourism that aligns with current social, cultural, economic, and environmental conditions is emphasized. The relationship between cycle tourism and sustainable tourism is explored, highlighting the lack of global regulation in this area. The general objective of the project is to develop a proposal for a sustainable cycling route, with specific objectives including the analysis of benefits using a SWOT matrix, assessing tourist interest, and defining successful routes with cultural and environmental stops. The justification focuses on the importance of tourism in Colombia and the geographical and cultural diversity of the Cundinamarca region. The need to implement a sustainable cycling route between Girardot and Tocaima is highlighted to offer a unique and local alternative for cyclists. The theoretical framework emphasizes the importance of sustainable tourism and cycle tourism, while the legal framework addresses relevant regulations in Colombia. The conceptual framework introduces key terms such as tourist attraction, ecotourism, and sustainable route. The geographical framework describes the locations of Girardot and Tocaima, emphasizing their tourist appeal and climate. The methodological design is classified as exploratory and descriptive, with a quantitative and qualitative approach, using questionnaires, direct observation, and interviews.
