Percepción social de estudiantes de una escuela normal superior sobre la práctica pedagógica de educación física: un enfoque mixto

El presente estudio tuvo por objetivo explicar la percepción social sobre la práctica pedagógica docente del área de educación física, de los estudiantes de grado noveno de la Institución Educativa Departamental Escuela Normal Superior de Gacheta a partir de una aproximación metodológica mixta de investigación. El diseño mixto, incluyó la aplicación de un cuestionario tipo Likert, de identificación general y, posteriormente, se convocó un grupo focal que permitió abordar en profundidad las respuestas. Entre los 46 estudiantes involucrados, la percepción global de la práctica pedagógica de EF fue sustancialmente positiva. Los datos cualitativos añadieron matices decisivos: la alegría y el entusiasmo se identifican como emociones centrales, y tanto el desarrollo frecuente y preferiblemente práctico como la relación cotidiana con el maestro emergen como determinantes principales. Se concluye así que la doble estrategia metodológica no solo documentó la favorable percepción social entre los estudiantes de noveno grado, sino que también esclareció el peso decisivo de las emociones y sensaciones de la clase de EF, la interacción con el docente y la metodología y didáctica de la clase. The objective of the present study is to explain the social perception of ninth-grade students at the Departmental Educational Institution Escuela Normal Superior de Gacheta regarding the pedagogical practice of Physical Education (PE), using a mixed-methods research approach. The mixed design involved administering a Likert-scale questionnaire for general identification; subsequently, a focus group was convened to explore the responses in greater depth. Among the 46 students involved, the overall perception of the PE teaching practice was substantially positive. The qualitative data added decisive nuances: joy and enthusiasm were identified as central emotions, and both the frequent and preferably practical development of activities, as well as the daily interaction with the teacher, emerged as key determinants. It is thus concluded that the dual methodological strategy not only documented the favorable social perception among ninth-grade students, but also clarified the decisive role of emotions and sensations experienced during PE class, the interaction with the teacher, and the class’s methodology and didactics.
