El Plan de Gestión de Riesgos de Desastres (PGRD) es una herramienta muy significativa en los municipios debido a que expone los recursos, planes y manejo que puede desarrollarse y sirven al momento de presentar una posible acción de riesgo para tratarlo con la precaución junto con su respectiva normatividad vigente. En este artículo se tomará como ejemplo el municipio de Fusagasugá-Cundinamarca, el cual tendrá como fundamento el riesgo por Avenida Torrencial, específicamente en la zona de la comuna oriental de este municipio. De acuerdo con lo anterior se realizará un análisis de la fuente hídrica conocida como “Quebrada La Parroquia” la cual se hará énfasis puesto que anteriormente ha ocasionado problemas por aumentó del cauce, siendo así ineficiente los box coulvert y posteriormente el desbordamiento generando afectaciones a la población circundante.
