El proyecto consistió en el desarrollo e implementación del Aplicativo Web "Millennials" para optimizar el control y la eficiencia en el registro de notas de la IED Gustavo Uribe Ramírez en Granada, Cundinamarca. Problema Abordado La iniciativa surgió para mitigar las ineficiencias y la inestabilidad del sistema departamental preexistente, SIGES, el cual generaba constantes fallas, lentitud en los procesos y una considerable pérdida de horas administrativas en la transcripción y validación de calificaciones. Solución y Enfoque Técnico Se desarrolló una solución independiente y funcional, utilizando la metodología ágil Programación Extrema (XP) para garantizar entregas incrementales y satisfacer los requerimientos del cliente. La plataforma se construyó con una arquitectura robusta basada en Python/Django y PostgreSQL, asegurando la seguridad de los datos sensibles y el estricto cumplimiento de la Ley 115. Resultados Clave El impacto del aplicativo fue demostrado con cifras contundentes. Se logró una reducción del 60% en el tiempo invertido por los docentes para el registro de notas. Además, se alcanzó un 100% de satisfacción entre los usuarios encuestados, validando la alta usabilidad y la percepción de seguridad del sistema. "Millennials" se consolidó como una herramienta fiable que transformó la gestión académica en la institución. The project involved the development and implementation of the “Millennials” Web Application to optimize control and efficiency in the grade-recording process at IED Gustavo Uribe Ramírez in Granada, Cundinamarca. Addressed Problem The initiative emerged to mitigate the inefficiencies and instability of the pre-existing departmental system, SIGES, which caused constant failures, slow processes, and a significant loss of administrative hours in the transcription and validation of grades. Solution and Technical Approach A standalone and functional solution was developed using the Extreme Programming (XP) agile methodology to ensure incremental deliveries and meet client requirements. The platform was built with a robust architecture based on Python/Django and PostgreSQL, ensuring the security of sensitive data and strict compliance with Law 115. Key Results The impact of the application was demonstrated through solid figures. Teachers achieved a 60% reduction in the time spent recording grades. In addition, 100% user satisfaction was reported among surveyed participants, validating the system’s high usability and perceived security. “Millennials” became a reliable tool that transformed academic management within the institution.
