Actualmente, en pleno siglo XXI la sociedad busca con ayuda de la tecnología automatizar los procesos para garantizar mayor efectividad y eficiencia en la ejecución de las actividades. La facturación electrónica funciona como herramienta que optimiza las operaciones internas y con entes regulatorios, ya sea de índole comercial, contable y tributaria de las empresas que la implementan. A pesar de los múltiples beneficios que ofrece la implementación de facturación electrónica, se evidencia que durante el proceso puede incurrir en inconvenientes y problemas que dificultan su adopción. Por tales motivos se decide enfocar el proyecto a realizar un estudio de investigación en microempresas ubicadas en el municipio de Yacopí para identificar y analizar los principales retos por los cuales tuvieron que versen inmersos durante y después del proceso de implementación de facturación electrónica y así hallar opciones de mejora para ellos y futuras empresas. Se determina que las principales problemáticas que generan preocupación expuestas, por los microempresarios son la falta de conocimiento sobre la normatividad, desconociendo sus obligaciones como facturadores electrónicos; la deficiencia en la planeación ejercida por los contadores y comerciantes del municipio; y la falta de capacitación y asesoramiento en el manejo del software. Nowadays, in the 21st century, society seeks to automate processes with the help of technology to ensure greater effectiveness and efficiency in the execution of activities. Electronic invoicing works as a tool that optimizes internal operations and with regulatory entities, whether commercial, accounting or tax of the companies that implement it. In spite of the multiple benefits offered by the implementation of electronic invoicing, it is evident that during the process there may be inconveniences and problems that hinder its adoption. For these reasons, it was decided to focus the project to conduct a research study in microenterprises located in the municipality of Yacopí to identify and analyze the main challenges they had to face during and after the implementation process of electronic invoicing and thus find improvement options for them and future companies. It is determined that the main problems that generate concern expressed by the micro- entrepreneurs are the lack of knowledge about the regulations, not knowing their obligations as electronic billers; the deficiency in the planning exercised by the accountants and merchants of the municipality; and the lack of training and advice in the handling of the software.
