RESUMEN: El presente estudio aborda el predictor genético del índice D2:D4 como fundamento para la detección de talentos. Se propone como objetivo identificar la relación entre los dígitos D2 y D4 de los estudiantes de la Institución Educativa Villas del Progreso del grado segundo sede A, como predictor de niveles altos de testosterona y su relación con el deporte. La metodología para esta investigación es cuantitativa, transversal, de tipo descriptiva, no experimental, dado que utiliza como instrumento de recolección de datos la aplicación del test de medición de la longitud de los dedos anular e índice de las manos, talla y peso. Para su análisis se hace la correlación entre Índice D2:D4 e IMC, con la prueba de T de student, para conocer su comportamiento frente a la teoría de concentración de testosterona intrauterina y la relación de peso y talla para el campo del deporte Se concluyó que el 57.1% de la muestra tiene un índice D2:D4 de 0.95, un valor bajo que indica que hay una población con características físicas para hacer deporte, pero además muestra que el 14.1% de esa muestra son los que tienen valores más bajos, exclusivos de personas dotadas genéticamente para hacer deporte de alto rendimiento. Por consiguiente esta es una herramienta valiosa para la detección de talento deportivo en las instituciones educativas, ya que allí hay un potencial de capacidades en espera de ser detectadas por un sistema comprometido a formar deportistas que representen la ciudad de Bogotá. ABSTRACT: The present study addresses the genetic predictor of the D2:D4 Index as a basis for the detection of sports talents. The objective is to identify the relationship between digits D2 and D4 of the “A” second grade students from the Educational Institution: “Las Villas del Progreso”, as a predictor of high levels of Testosterone and its relationship with sports. The methodology for this research is quantitative, cross-sectional, descriptive, not experimental, since it uses as an instrument of data collection, the application of the measurement test of the length of the annular and index fingers; height and weight. For its analysis, the correlation between the D2:D4 Index and BMI is made with the Student's ttest, to know its behavior versus the intrauterine Testosterone concentration Theory, and the weight and height relationship for the sport field. It was concluded that 57.1% of the sample has a D2:D4 Index of 0.95, a low value that indicates that there is a population with physical characteristics to play sports, but also shows that 14.1% of that sample are those with the lowest values, exclusive of people genetically endowed to do high performance sports. Therefore, this is a valuable tool for the detection of sports talent in educational institutions, since there is a potential of capabilities waiting to be detected by a system committed to training athletes representing the city of Bogotá.
