Estado actual del consumo de sustancias psicoactivas en jóvenes de una Universidad Pública en Girardot, año 2023.

Abstract

El consumo de sustancias psicoactivas en adolescentes representa un problema de salud pública y sigue creciendo a nivel mundial. La presente investigación se enfoca en determinar el estado actual de consumo de sustancias psicoactivas en jóvenes de I a V semestre del programa de enfermería, universidad de Cundinamarca año 2023. Metodología. Estudio cuantitativo de tipo descriptivo transversal, que busca analizar la población estudiantil mediante la aplicación del instrumento ASSIST (La prueba de detección de consumo de alcohol, tabaco y sustancias), que cuenta con un total de 8 preguntas que se dividen en el consumo en los últimos tres meses, a lo largo de la vida y el consumo de sustancias inyectables. Resultados. Con relación al género la muestra de mayor representación es 66.4% (74 mujeres), las edades de estos jóvenes oscilan entre los 18 a 20 años (50%), se identificó que las sustancias que presentan mayor consumo son el alcohol con una incidencia del 84% (93), el tabaco 27% (30), cannabis 26% (29) y bebidas energizantes 16% (18). Conclusiones. El mayor consumo en la población universitaria es el alcohol con un riesgo alto 19,4% (18), seguido del tabaco con un riesgo alto 13,3% (4), por lo tanto, se hace necesario realizar acciones de enfermería enfocadas en promoción de la salud mental, prevención y mitigación del consumo. ABSTRACT: The use of psychoactive substances in adolescents represents a public health problem and continues to grow worldwide. This research focuses on determining the current state of psychoactive substance use in young people from I to V semester of the nursing program, University of Cundinamarca, year 2023. Methodology. Quantitative study of cross-sectional descriptive type, which seeks to analyze the student population through the application of the ASSIST instrument (The screening test for alcohol, tobacco and substance use), which has a total of 8 questions that are divided into consumption in the last three months, throughout life and consumption of injectable substances. Results. In relation to gender, the sample with the highest representation was 66.4% (74 women), the ages of these young people ranged between 18 and 20 years (50%), the substances with the highest consumption were identified as alcohol with an incidence of 84% (93), tobacco 27% (30), cannabis 26% (29) and energy drinks 16% (18). Conclusions. The highest consumption in the university population is alcohol with a high risk of 19.4% (18), followed by tobacco with a high risk of 13.3% (4), therefore, it is necessary to carry out nursing actions focused on mental health promotion, prevention and mitigation of consumption.
