Memorias de familiares y pacientes: Enfermedad de Hansen en el municipio de Agua de Dios, Cundinamarca, una mirada histórica de experiencia significativa

Abstract

El presente trabajo de investigación pretende abordar, a través del análisis de entrevistas, cómo es la afectación social, psicológica, económica y física de los pacientes y de sus familiares en relación con el padecimiento de Hansen; enfermedad que ha estado presente de forma directa o indirecta en la vida de los aguadedioscenses. En ese sentido, se tienen en cuenta algunas consideraciones sobre el origen de la enfermedad, el tratamiento, y se hace referencia a algunos lugares donde la enfermedad ha tenido o tiene presencia, no sólo en el contexto colombiano sino internacional. En el Cap. I se nombran algunas consideraciones en relación con la memoria de los pacientes y sus familiares, se habla sobre la enfermedad en este municipio y se presentan a los 16 participantes, 16 casos representativos de cómo afecta la enfermedad al paciente. El Cap. II realiza una reivindicación del aporte histórico y cultural del paciente al municipio, en ese sentido, se nombra al Puente de los Suspiros, estructura que permitió el paso en su momento de los enfermos cuando llegaban al municipio para nunca más salir o ver a sus seres queridos, convirtiéndose así en referente simbólico del sentir de muchas personas afectadas en su momento por este mal, no en vano recibió en nombre de Puente de los suspiros. Finalmente, en el Cap. III se presentan las dificultades y conflictos a partir de las memorias obtenidas, mostrado un análisis de todas las entrevistas y exponiendo la percepción de la enfermedad entre pacientes y familiares. This research work aims to address, through the analysis of interviews, how is the social, psychological, economic and physical affectation of patients and their families in relation to Hansen's condition; disease that has been present in a direct or indirect way in the life of the Aguadioscenses. In this sense, some considerations about the origin of the disease, the treatment are taken into account, and reference is made to some places where the disease has had or is present, not only in the Colombian context but also internationally. In Ch.
