ABSTRACT: The CAR differentiates three zones that subdivide the basin of the river Bogota along his path: High, Average basin and Down, according to the Agreement 58 of 1987. The zone of major interest is the low basin since a deterioration is demonstrated in the quality of the water resource by high concentrations of heavy metals that are bioacumulados for pastures and bovine. For this reason an investigation was realized to determine the efficiency of the pasture vetiver (Poaceae: Chrysopogon zizanioides (L) .Roberty) in the removal of Mercury (Hg) and Cadmium (Cd) by means of fitorremediación; using trays suspended with 12 holes to the densities of sowing (treatments):0 %, 25 %, 50 %, 75 % and 100 % with three repetitions, which were analyzed in a design of complete block at random. The process divided in three phases:The first one consisted of determining the evaporation in the estate the Silence, located in the path the Salty one, of Tocaima's Municipality (Cundinamarca) I surround for the establishment of the treatments. This hard process 21 days, time in which two measurements were realized for week of the variables: temperature (°C), salinity (μs/cm), pH and height of the water (Cm), in evaporímetros handcrafted of different conditions, of which I implement the process that I present less evaporation. In the phase two used 13 refuse bins of 55 gallons of blue color buried to the half, to mount four treatments with three repetitions, where there were realized three measurements Hg and Cd, one for month, by means of atomic absorption. As a whole with the measurement of pH, Conductivity and Temperature (covariables). The third phase was the analysis of the obtained results, by means of the statistical program INFOSTAT (free version), of which I determine the covariable conductivity is significant for the process of fitorremediación of the Cd.Línea gratuita: 018000180414 | e-mail: formacion.biblioteca@ucundinamarca.edu.co
