Evaluación del rendimiento y calidad del fruto en el cultivo de tomate chonto (solanum lycopersicum l.) cultivar gem-604 f1 en dos sistemas de siembra bajo invernadero en el municipio de funza cundinamarca

Abstract

RESUMEN: Esta investigación consistió en evaluar el rendimiento y la calidad del fruto en el cultivo de tomate chonto (Solanum lycopersicum L.) cultivar GEM-604 F1 en dos sistemas de siembra bajo invernadero; en suelo y en hidroponía (sustrato fibra de coco). El ensayo se llevó a cabo en las instalaciones del Centro de Innovación y Desarrollo (CID) de Saenz Fety, ubicado en el municipio de Funza, Cundinamarca. Se utilizó un diseño completamente al azar, con dos tratamientos y diez repeticiones. Las variables que se evaluaron fueron: peso del fruto, producción por planta, composición porcentual de calidades, grados brix, maduración, grosor de pared y llenado del fruto. Al evaluar la producción por planta, acumulada de tres racimos a lo largo del ciclo del cultivo, se hallaron diferencias estadísticas entre los sistemas productivos evaluados. Bajo el sistemahidropónico se produjo en promedio 366 gramos más de fruta por planta. En cuanto a la calidad del fruto, los resultados también arrojaron diferencias, pues en el sistema hidropónico se obtuvo un 70% de calidad primera frente a un 61% que se produjo en el sistema en suelo. En las variables de maduración, grosor de pared y llenado del fruto, los mayores valores encontrados fueron en el sistema hidropónico, concluyendo que las plantas cultivadas en hidroponía presentaron una mejor producción y calidad de la misma. ABSTRACT: This research consisted in evaluating fruit yield and quality in the cultivation of tomato chonto (Solanum lycopersicum L.) cultivar GEM-604 F1 in two systems of sowing under greenhouse; In soil and in hydroponics (substrate coconut fiber). The test was carried out at the facilities of the Innovation and Development Center (CID) of Saenz Fety, located in the municipality of Funza, Cundinamarca. A completely randomized design was used, with two treatments and ten replicates. The variables that were evaluated were: fruit weight, yield per plant, percentage composition of grades, brix degrees, maturation, wall thickness and fruit filling. When evaluating the production per plant, accumulated of three clusters along the crop cycle, statistical differences between the productive systems evaluated were found. Under the hydroponic system, an average of 366 grams of fruit per plant was produced. As for the quality of the fruit, the results also showed differences, since in the hydroponic system 70% of quality first was obtained, compared to 61% that occurred in the soil system. In the variables of maturation, wall thickness and fruit filling, the highest values were found in the hydroponic system, concluding that the plants cultivated in hydroponics presented a better production and quality of the same.
