| dc.description.abstract | El presente trabajo se centra en el municipio del espinal del departamento del Tolima; en el cual el desarrollo rural ha retomado una importancia fundamental como alternativa de crecimiento económico de diferentes sectores, debido a que la economía en el municipio, está sustentada en las actividades agropecuarias, con productos como: arroz, sorgo, maíz, frutales. Entre otros. Los cuales constituyen el aporte mayoritario del sector. Dane (2011). Con respecto de la evolución del área cosechada de los cultivos semestrales, la producción agrícola evidencia una dinámica con tendencia a la caída. Lo contrario ocurre con los cultivos permanentes, siendo los únicos que tuvieron un alza en el año 2013 al cultivar un área de 9.396 hectáreas, arrojando como producto aproximadamente 74.749 toneladas. Secretaría de Desarrollo Agropecuario (2015). El objeto de este proyecto es identificar si estos cultivos involucran transformaciones en el territorio. Desarrollando un modelamiento y análisis multitemporal de cambios en la cobertura vegetal para dos momentos en el tiempo año 2000 y año 2019, a partir de base de datos del área de estudio, mapas e interpretación de imágenes satelitales Lansadt con ayuda del software ARCGIS. De los resultados obtenidos se puede evidenciar como la vegetación natural en algunos sectores ha disminuido en extensión, dando paso a áreas extensas de pastos y cultivos permanentes. Así mismo se pueden establecer una serie de estrategias que permitan un equilibrio, teniendo en cuenta la generación de un desarrollo socioeconómico, actividades productivas, tecnológicas y sostenibilidad ambiental.
