This investigation was done with the purpose of assess the effects on the application of two organic fertilizers: (Bocashi FB) and (Earthworm), and also of an inorganic fertilizer (the 1515 15 TQ) in the cultivation of yellow potato (Solanum Phureja), a Colombian “criolla“ variety, on the Santo Domingo Farm located in the Municipality of La Calera, Cundinamarca. Throughout the experimental stage, one fertilization was applied at the time of the sowing and another one 45 days after, during the farming process (aporque), using the following amounts of fertilizers: 100g of Bocashi, 100g of Earthworm and 40g of 15 15 15 on both applications. The variables measured during the research were: a) Size of the tuber, b) Crop´s yield, c) Production costs. The highest result, based on the the thick similar size, was obtained by the TI treatment with 158 and 45 tubers respectively, while the highest value for the “riche“ type was obtained by the FB treatment with41 units. To the variable of the crop yield (efficiency), the TI treatment got the highest average of tubers/plant (tb/pl) with 11,25 of them, and the highest expected production per hectares with 29,9 t/ha. However, statistically, meaningful differences between the FB and the TI treatments were not found. To summarize, on one hand, the production costs were the same for the three treatments, except for the cost of fertilization in which the cheapest treatment was the FB with a price of $11.306.954.00 CO. On the other hand, and according to the profitability, the best treatment was the TI obtaining a percentage of 18,6 followed by the FB with the 17,8 %.es_CO
