ABSTRACT : The present research allows to advance the knowledge on the vegetable genera that can be used in the construction of the green roofs of extensive type and that are present in the ruderal flora of the urban center of Fusagasugá, these possess attributes such as: rapid and easy propagation, rusticity and resistance, among others, since research on floristic composition and diversity of the urban area, as well as the biological characteristics and gender adaptation strategies currently used is scarce. The fieldwork was carried out during 24 months, from February 2017 to February 2019. The identification of the genera was carried out a stratification of the urban area of the municipality taking into account the zones with different degrees of synanthropy and the two different types of climates present, where a total of 150 transects were sampled, a total of 22 genera belonging to 15 families were recorded. Stratum 1 obtained the highest number of genera (18) representing 77, 3%, while stratum 2 had the lowest 45, 4%, and presented a characterization of eusynanthropic species. This indicates that there is a predominance of certain types of genders, which is confirmed by the lower values in the frequency, equity and diversity indices of the five strata sampled. The genera Pilea, Oxalis, Portulaca, Dichondra, Euphorbia, Trifolium and Commelina, in addition to the three genera of the Caryophyllaceae family, they are recommended for use in the entire urban area of Fusagasugá in extensive green roofs, as they were found in all strata and are mostly eusynchronous genera.es_CO
