ASBTRACT: In Colombia there is a great variety of study and peasant tendency to associate plants in an empirical way without knowing an essential reason, or yes, of this type of practice. Some tests of these theories consisting of leafy vegetables surrounded or not by a barrier of aromatic plants were carried out in the field, since for the region there are no proven hypotheses about the allelopathic interaction between certain species, besides a specific associative order apt for Replication in large area crops as well as in small peasant and urban vegetable gardens. The experiment was carried out in the Restaurant and Agroecoparque Punto verde, located in the village Usatama of the municipality of Fusagasugá, it was tried to verify the allelopathic interaction between different species of aromatic plants and vegetables for the fresh consumption and thus to finally supply the restaurant. A completely randomized block design was performed with two treatments: a control treatment consisting of different species of leafy vegetables for fresh consumption such as lettuce, chard, parsley, broccoli and spinach; And a barrier treatment consisting of species in which several allelopathic compounds have already been found, including marigold, onion, radish and cilantro. Thus checking the effectiveness or not of aromatic plant compounds for insect control in the region, climate and altitude that competes with us. The experiment took into account the participatory evaluation, by means of which the workers who are part of the Green Point and the workshops offered observations and suggestions in the development of the experiment. In addition, a means of diffusion was generated on the subject of allelopathy suitable for peasants, children, etc.en_EN
