| dc.description.abstract | Para el municipio de Ricaurte la economía se fundamenta en el turismo por contar con una infraestructura hotelera y recreación atractiva especialmente a los capitalinos e incluso para los habitantes de otras regiones más lejanas; no obstante, el municipio centra su economía en el sector agrícola lo que los convierte en un municipio próspero a la vista del gobierno local y nacional; ésta es la razón principal por la cual se anhelaba realizar un estudio que permitiera determinar las características socioeconómicas y ambientales de una de las veredas de Ricaurte, en éste caso la vereda San Francisco ubicada en el norte del municipio y limitando con el Municipio de Agua de Dios; de modo que, se puedan analizar las necesidades y condiciones de vida de los habitantes; se pretende también, conocer a fondo la población con el fin de visualizar con que problemáticas cuenta la vereda y brindar recomendaciones a la alcaldía local que permitan mejorar y contribuir con el desarrollo de la Población objeto de estudio y el posible desarrollo de la economía en la vereda para fortalecer el campo económico, social y ambiental del Municipio.
Se implementó una herramienta para la recolección de la información, por medio de encuestas a una muestra de la población se recopiló y se analizó posteriormente los resultados que describieron a la población de la vereda, sus necesidades, problemáticas y en base a ello brindarles recomendaciones en aras de producir un aporte significativo para su población y municipio como tal.
