Abstract The collapse of the hives is largely attributed to the use of new generation insecticides, which generate negative impacts on the development and maintenance of hives; because when foreign molecules come into contact with the organism they lead to an oxidative stress that causes metabolic alterations; A laboratory bioassay was conducted with three insecticides, four doses and three replicates, for a total of 39 experimental units, which were subjected to each dose for a period of 3 hours, finished, frozen at -80° C to subsequent studies; enzymatic extraction of the tissue of the head and thorax of the bee was carried out by means of acetone powders and refrigerated at -2 ° C, from which were determined: superoxide dismutase, peroxidase, catalase and protein; the ascorbic acid was determined directly from the sample; all the variables were measured with different analytical techniques, showing highly significant statistical differences between treatments by insecticide and dose (P <0.001), while for ascorbic acid and protein no statistical differences were observed (p> 0.05), showing a behavior individual by insecticide, explained through the chemical nature of its molecule; The sub-lethal doses, suggesting an imminent risk for the survival of the hives, ratifying the damage caused to these insects by their authorized use and theirconnection with the decline of the hives.es_CO
