| dc.description.abstract | RESUMEN: Como parte del compromiso con la provincia del Sumapaz para el fortalecimiento del subsector turismo, se desarrolló este estudio, dirigido principalmente al análisis de oferta y demanda en el municipio de Silvania, con el fin de identificar los puntos turísticos reconocidos y potenciales. El enfoque de la investigación está centrado en explorar las relaciones sociales y su conexión con el turismo, identificando a la vez las variables numéricas relacionadas con aspectos económicos y sociales de los turistas y el municipio. Se estableció que Silvania hace parte de uno de los corredores turísticos más importantes del país, por estar ubicado estratégicamente a cada lado de la Panamericana. Los turistas (50 %) lo reconocen como destino ideal para el descanso, siendo el principal motivo de visita; predominando una de las más fuertes tendencias: el turismo de naturaleza, gracias a su amplia extensión rural y bellos paisajes; igualmente, la mayoría de los turistas proceden de la ciudad de Bogotá (65 %) buscando tener un tiempo de esparcimiento alejados del estrés y la contaminación. La mayoría de establecimientos corresponden a restaurantes con el 68 %, existiendo poca oferta para otro tipo de actividades o planes turísticos que permitan satisfacer los gustos de las personas. ABSTRACT: As part of the commitment with the province of Sumapaz to strengthen the tourism subsector, this study was developed, mainly aimed at the analysis of supply and demand in the municipality of Silvania, in order to identify the recognized and potential tourist spots. The focus of the research is focused on exploring social relationships and their connection with tourism, while identifying the numerical variables related to economic and social aspects of tourists and the municipality. It was established that Silvania is part of one of the most important tourist corridors in the country, because it is strategically located on either side of the Panamericana. Tourists (50%) recognize it as an ideal destination for rest, being the main reason for visiting; predominating one of the strongest trends: nature tourism, thanks to its wide rural extension and beautiful landscapes; Likewise, most tourists come from the city of Bogotá (65%) seeking to have a leisure time away from stress and pollution.
